Peanut Butter and Chocolate Bars

Ready for something that’s better than Reece’s? This is on the top 10 list of best things since sliced bread! It’s soft, fluffy, and it’ll melt in your mouth like an ice cube! With some simple, everyday ingredients, you can make these delicious treats that’ll make everyone begging for more.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3/4 cup of butter, softened
  • 1 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tsp of vanilla
  • 1/2 Tsp of salt
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 12-ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 Tbsp of butter
  • 1/4 cup of peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup of hot dark coffee
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 15X10 baking pan with parchment paper or foil, or lightly grease pan; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the 3/4 cup of butter for 30 seconds.
  3. Add brown sugar and beat until combined.
  4. Beat in egg, vanilla, and salt until combined.
  5. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Use a wooden spoon to mix in the remaining flour.
  6. Transfer dough to the baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until edges are golden. Cool in pan.
  7. For topping, in a small saucepan cook and stir chocolate chips and the 3 Tbsp of butter over low heat until melted and smooth.
  8. Transfer chocolate into a medium bowl. Stir in peanut butter and coffee until combined.
  9. Stir in powdered sugar until smooth.
  10. Spread topping on crust. Let stand until frosting is set. Cut into bars.
