The warning is no exaggeration. These are truly some of the best cookies you’ll ever bake and everyone is guaranteed to fall in love with them. Originally as “holiday cookies,” this recipe has become a “whenever I want them” cookies! Made with just the right amount of peppermint and combined with chocolate, these flavor compliment each other perfectly!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 box of white cake mix
- 1 stick of butter, melted (8 Tbsp)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 Tsp peppermint extract
- 1/2 Tsp vanilla extract
- 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup of Oreo cookie chunks
- 1 cup of Andes Peppermint Crunch pieces
- 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a large bowl, combine white cake mix, butter, egg, and extracts. Beat until soft dough forms.
- Combine cream cheese and beat gently.
- Stir in the peppermint crunch pieces and dark chocolate chips.
- Gently stir in the Oreo pieces.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll dough into balls (makes about 40-ish cookies). Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 9 minutes. Do NOT over bake. The cookies will look very soft and undone, but just let them sit for a few minutes and then gently remove them with a spatula onto a plate. Use the bottom of the spatula to gentle tap on the top of the cookies to even them out. Let them completely cool. Store in a sealed container.
